About Us

Welcome to Coudia Equine.

The name Coudia was created by combining the names of two of our past horses, Cougar and Braid. It is made up of the first 3 letters of Cougar in order, and the last 3 letters of Braid reversed. (Pronounced Coo-Dee-Ah)

Coudia Equine is a private horse rescue. This means that it is NOT a registered charity, but has simply been registered as a ‘business name’. This is because founding and operating a registered charity is a costly and time consuming exercise. At this point I would rather spend that time and money directly with, and on the horses.

The main focus of Coudia Equine is to help horses in need. To rescue, rehabilitate as needed, and rehome the horses in our care. Some horses will remain retired with Coudia Equine for life due to ongoing medical or behavioural issues.

Horses come to Coudia Equine for many different reasons. Not all of the horses in care will be publicised on this site. Sometimes we have cases that are part of an active cruelty investigation, and sometimes they are involved in an ownership dispute. Until legalities are resolved, these sorts of cases will not be published.

Privacy is very important at Coudia Equine, the details of owners who surrender animals to us will never be made public. The names of people who adopt from us will also remain private, unless they chose to make themselves known.

If you have a pet you need to rehome, Coudia Equine will be happy to advertise them for you on our Facebook page to help you find them a suitable home.

Ariston is a 2 year old pale palomino pony, who was gelded in January. Currently approximately 13.2hh and growing.

He is a smart, friendly young man who is now looking for his forever home. He will need an experienced home who can continue with his education.

All vaccinations and worming are up to date, and he recently had his feet done. He is microchipped.

He is available under an adoption contract, and is not to be broken in until he is at least 3 years old. If you think you can offer Ari a forever home, please private message Coudia Equine via the Facebook page with the type of home you can offer him.
